Qualifications As a Cyber Threat Engineer with a primary focus on dark markets and online anonymity, you bring one or more of the following:

  • Experience or interest in TOR, its uses and advantages/disadvantages
  • Experience or interest in design of digital currency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, ZCash, etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic cryptographic primitives including (but not limited to) hash functions, asymmetric encryption, symmetric encryption, digital signatures, ring signatures, zero knowledge proofs.
  • Interest or experience in reverse engineering of database/file structures
  • Experience with Python, C/++, Java, or another programming language
  • The capability to be thrown into new situations, and learn new data formats/ programming languages/tools
  • Degree in a relevant field i.e., Computer Science, Cyber Security, Intelligence Analysis, or equivalent job experience)
